Who doesn’t like to receive something free? We all like get free toothpaste, shampoo, money, deodorant etc. The internet is a great place to score free stuff. If consumers use free samples they are not using whatever they have on hand (such as toothpaste) and are therefore saving money. Companies bank on consumers liking their free samples enough to become a loyal user of the product and establish brand loyalty.
The internet has several places to investigate to obtain free samples. Many companies even have incorporated free samples as part of their websites. Companies such as Wal-Mart have a free sample section where consumers can pick and choose what samples they would like to receive.

Social networking sites have even joined the game. Take Facebook for instance, several companies promote their products via Facebook. Many companies give perks if you “like” their page such as coupons or free samples.
Blogs are another location to find free samples. There are even blogs and newsletters dedicated to finding free samples. Consumers can sign up to receive daily or even hourly notices of where these deals are and how to get them.
Free samples are becoming so popular that companies have to limit the amount they give away. At times you have to be quick to secure the sample you wish to receive. Companies even will go so far as to announce the time and day they will be giving the sample away to give all consumers a fair chance to receive it.
